(ABOVE LEFT:) That flaming skull is called a Blue Bubble, for some reason. In previous games, it would helpfully remove a curse from you if you touched it, but now it prefers to attack. What a ripoff. (ABOVE RIGHT:) This Blue Bubble is chomping one of Epona's thick hind legs. Blue Bubbles love to eat horse legs, especially the extra huge hind legs. Trying to eat horse drumsticks is bad for your health, because it usually leads to you being stomped flat by the horse. (BELOW LEFT:) This Blue Bubble is feasting on Epona's side. Unlike most enemies, Blue Bubbles actively try to eat Epona before defeating her, although they are quite capable of defeating her in the process. Blue Bubbles chow down on a horse's thick torso, where most of the thickest and juiciest meat is, and their fangs slice right through a horse's tough hide and muscle. This means they can fell a horse very quickly. (BELOW RIGHT:) Tired of being a meal, Epona stomped the Blue Bubble, producing a yellow flash. (The Blue Bubble had flown higher before the flash disappeared.) However, it did not inflict any damage, because Blue Bubbles are immune to Epona's attacks. Sometimes, if Epona body slams a Blue Bubble, it will take a bite out of her chest in retribution, so don't even bother trying. Let Link defeat Blue Bubbles instead.
